WelcomeWelcome to our branch website.The Herts Community Healthcare branch of UNISON represents more than 2000 staff who work in the NHS and other local health organisations and includes nurses, occupational therapists, health care assistants, porters and admin staff. We negotiate for better pay and conditions, help individuals in trouble and campaign for a safer, fairer society. Important advice to Unison members Members are strongly advised that it is in their best interests to contact their local Unison representative or the union office as soon as possible for advice, if they are called to any formal meeting by management ( not including routine supervision and appraisals). Members are further advised not to write or sign any statement until they have discussed the matter with Unison. All members have the right to be accompanied to any meeting which could potentially result in disciplinary action being taken against them. It is essential that the branch is involved asap, especially if a case leads to legal action or if regional assistance is required, as the appropriate forms have to be completed and signed off by the branch.
